Shearer Candles, the UK's longest established lifestyle candle company, have just blown out 120 of their own birthday candles. With beginnings in Glasgow's Candleriggs, and now based in Govan, they make 3.2 million candles a year, and sell these both in the UK and across the world.
Lemo were tasked with creating a digital strategy for their 120th year, which involved a social media campaign to increase awareness of the brand and revenue in their four stores in Glasgow. Although they had a high number of followers on Facebook already their audience wasn't engaging with them and few of their customers knew they had stores. We also produced their new corporate film and took care of their product photography.
Before we could start to create a social media campaign we needed to understand their customers, their competitors and their values as a business. We conducted a competitor analysis and social media audit and this helped us form the foundation of our approach. We separated their audience into retail and wholesale and created successful content and social advertising plans for both groups.
