BRANDING

The rebirth of an iconic clubbing institution.

 

With a plan to follow in the clubs tradition of catering for many music tastes within electronic music, we wanted to create a dynamic and evolving logo system that could be used to compliment any event artwork.

 

Very pleasingly, we created a perfectly geometric 69 letterform from a 808 letterform. This shape made by overlapping 4 circles created the segments that you see within the 69. This allowed us to create a series of multi-coloured logo marks.

The primary logo would be the logo mark without the ‘Club’, with the secondary logo showing the full name. We planned to tease out the new brand reveal over the course of the first months programming of events at the club. We used close up sections of the logo in various colour-ways on event artwork during that first month before we revealed the logo itself.
